Vendor Selection Process
Vendor Fees
SOFM vendors are selected via a deliberate process with priority given to returning vendors, vendors selling food products, and producer members of the co-operative. Other considerations when approving vendors include a commitment to sustainable production practices, locality, & uniqueness of the product.

As of 2020, it is now mandatory that all weekly vendors must be producer members of our cooperative.

Farmers' Market Advisory Committee
In 2019, we established the Farmers' Market Advisory Committee (FMAC) to create space for vendors to give direct input into market operations and policies. Applications will be open every year to allow new vendors an opportunity to contribute to the growth and wellbeing of the market.

Farmers' Market Incubator Program
To help reduce barriers, we are excited to offer the Farmers' Market Incubator Program, thanks to the generous support of Food & Beverage Manitoba. This program consists of three workshops that will prepare new food producers and processors to successfully market and sell their products at farmers’ markets.
We offer three streams: youth, newcomers, and general.

Participants will also receive one-on-one support from our market coordinator upon program completion and can apply for one of five of our discounted incubator vendor spaces and equipment for the market season.
The 2023 Farmers' Market Incubator Program is now closed. Please check back in Spring 2024!
